Generation feeds storage, storage feeds compute, and compute forks: hash to Quai and Qi, or route the same watts to AI inference. Both branches reconverge on a single number — the opportunity cost per kilowatt-hour of choosing one over the other.
That delta is the measurement the site exists to take. It is what an index of delivered work per unit of energy has to be calibrated against, and it cannot be obtained from a price survey.

A benchmark is only as good as the meters behind it.
An index for delivered work per unit of energy cannot be assembled from vendor price surveys. It needs metered power at the rack, block-level telemetry from a live proof-of-work network, and a site where both are observed at the same time.
The energy lab measures the cost side. The data layer measures the work side. The gap between them is the number WTI is trying to publish.
